Which discount is applied when a member uses or books equipment?
When determining usage or booking fees, Fabman checks each of the member’s currently active packages, finds the ones that would allow him to use that particular equipment at that time, and then picks the one with the highest discount.
For example, if a member has…
- … a 24/7 package that grants them access to all machines and a 10% discount on all usage fees and
- … another package that’s only valid on Mondays 9am - 2pm and only for laser cutters but grants a 20% discount,
… then they would get …
- … a 20% discount if they use a laser cutter at 10am on a Monday,
- … a 10% discount if they use a laser cutter on Tuesday (because the second package does not apply on Tuesdays, only the first one)
- … a 10% discount if they use a 3D printer at 10am on a Monday (because the second package does not apply to 3D printers)
