Create a bridge API key

The easiest way to connect any machine to Fabman is via Fabman bridges. But if you want to build a custom integration, you can use our bridge API. It lets you connect your equipment using anything that can send JSON via HTTPS.

First, create an API key for the equipment you want to connect:

1. On the Equipment detail page, click on "Connect a bridge"
2. When prompted for a pairing code, click on "Create bridge API key" instead.
3. Click on "Create API key" to generate the key.
4. You'll see the bridge settings form. Click on "Reveal" next to the API key to show the API key.

Once you have an API key for the equipment, you can use the bridge API to check access permissions and tell Fabman when the equipment is running. See the bridge API documentation for details.
